These three beauty products are my favorites right now, but if I have to recommend just one for you to try, it's the Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels.

I used the eye gels before my friend's wedding and it definitely provided an immediate result. It didn't take my fine lines away, but it did de-puff, firm, and brighten my undereye area. Not to mention how incredibly relaxing they felt. They are essentially like stickers that you place under each eye for about ten minutes. One side has the gel that is nice and cooling. I will never be without them. They are perfect for a special event when you need an extra beauty boost, but they are also great for a self-care treat anytime.

I'm really into brights for my nails almost every Spring and Summer, but it's also nice to take a break from those and wear something a bit more subdued and elegant. Plus let's face it, nude polish is just so easy and fool-proof! I have quite a few options in my nail polish collection, but this one by O.P.I. is my current love. I wore it on my wedding day.

Three Summers ago, I purchased Summer Grace perfume by Philosophy and proceeded to quickly use it up. It is described as Summer in a bottle, and I have to agree. I think it has since been discontinued because I've looked everywhere for it, but I found it here. I again will use it all Summer long.

While browsing my giant pile of magazines I need to catch up on this weekend, I was stopped in my tracks by this image:
Hello Lover!
God I love J.Crew shoes. So well-done, and classic but with a modern twist. Precisely my style.

I got my second Rocksbox yesterday, though I think it had been sitting in my mailbox all weekend. Everything was to my liking though, and I can't wait to wear my pretty jewels. I'll be sure to do some outfit posts and show them off next week. It's time I get back to a regular blogging schedule and quit having so much fun (and a life).

Remember, use code beachfirenkxoxo for your first month free! I hate sounding like a pushy salesperson, but I really do love this company's concept and the designers involved are wonderful.

What are you loving lately in the style/beauty world? Anything I should know about?

My obsession with stone jewelry (as evidenced here and here) is going strong! I'm not entirely sure where it all started, but now that I think back, my favorite companies like Stella & Dot, Sonya Renee, and Oia Jules are known for their beautiful creations using colorful gems. The natural, earthy beauty of a stone necklace has quite an impact around the neck.

Here are some options in case you're just as obsessed as I am

This was the necklace I wore in my last post. Love it.

Etsy has a ton of stone pendants, so I would encourage you to look there! But whatever you choose,  you can't go wrong. There is nothing as beautiful as nature's own jewelry.

I am such a horrible beauty blogger. For those of you who just started reading my blog fairly recently, then you probably get the impression that I strictly blog about fashion, and that is not the case! I started Beautygirl24 almost four years ago, and with the full intention of blogging about beauty products and makeup, not fashion at all. Obviously that changed rather quickly once I delved into some amazing style blogs. I wanted to do the same! I've always thought that beauty and fashion go hand in hand. I don't think they can really be separated. I feel my best when I have on a fabulous outfit and when my lipstick looks just as great!

My beauty posts have been lacking over the past few months, and I can't quite figure out why. I guess I'm actually very content with the products I use on a daily basis, and they haven't changed too drastically since Summer. A new lip color here and there, some fun drugstore finds. But really, I don't buy as much makeup as I used to. I love my skincare routine, and I also love the products I've been using on my hair for the past year. However, I just discovered a few new things that I've incorporated into both my routines, and I have to tell you about them.

Hair:
Similar to a spray mousse that is used to add volume at the roots, but I love this because it doesn't feel quite as heavy once it's in my hair. I really enjoy the body it provides. I was previously using Big Sexy Hair Root Pump, and although I do still like it, I just prefer the overall feel of the Kenra.

The BEST heat protectant! Not only does it work well with hot irons, but it also leaves your hair super soft and shiny. It holds style very well. It's really like a heat protector and hold spray in one. If you swear by a straightener or curling iron, I think you'll love this as much as I do.

I also just purchased this curling iron by Hot Tools, highly recommended by the gorgeous Veronika. I love her hair. That soft, touseled, wavy/curl is so pretty on everyone! It reminds me of Lauren Conrad's curls. I hope to play around with it enough so that I can achieve the same look. *Fingers crossed*

Skin:

I have super uneven skin, and I've always wanted to try a cream that could alleviate some of the uneveness on my cheeks and chin. You're supposed to use this every night, but I alternate between this and my Josie Maran Argan Oil. So far, so good. I don't think the results have been dramatic, but I do feel that it's working. I think I need to keep at it for another month before I truly make my final verdict.

I received this small tube in my Sephora All-Stars kit (which by the way was one of the best things I've ever purchased). There's a reason why so many celebs swear by her products. This exfoliating mask is serious business. I keep this tube in my shower, and apply it once a week. It stings a bit, so I only leave it on for about a minute or so. I distribute an even amount and using slow circles, gently rub it into my skin. My face glows. I definitely will repurchase once this is gone!

Have you tried any of these products? Any recommendations for something else I should try?
I promise I will do my best to keep beauty posts coming, as long as I have something worth mentioning, good and bad!

By now, I'm sure all of you have heard of Stella & Dot. It's a wonderful company, by women and for women. You can become a stylist and even host  trunk parties in your home, showcasing all of the beautiful gems that they have to offer. I originally read about Stella & Dot on blogs, and ever since making my first purchase, I have been obsessed. I had a very kind reader email me about becoming my stylist, and of course I was thrilled. Here are some pieces that I'm coveting:

I plan on ordering this very soon. The stone reminds me of the ocean. It's very similar to other necklaces I've seen, but much less expensive.

Great for layering, or lovely on its own

This would match my favorite bracelet

Devi Bangles (on sale!)
I really love these. They would be great for stacking

Have you purchased any pieces from Stella & Dot? I think I know the answer!

If you have been reading my blog for any period of time, then you know I live in my jeans. I love how easy they are, and their versatility is unlike any other item in my wardrobe. I guess Hollywood celebs agree, as I see a lot of them in jeans as well. A soft scarf, ballet flats or pumps, oversized sunnies, and a gorgeous handbag complete the look and take it from super casual to polished in no time flat.

Do you wear jeans as frequently as I do?

I'm not sure anyone loves New Years Eve as much as I do. For me, it's a day of quiet introspection. I ask myself questions such as What did I accomplish this year? Did I do the best I could? What do I need to change? I remember the fond memories, and say a silent prayer that the new year brings health and happiness to all those I love. Then the day turns into night and I let it all go, ready for a fun time ahead!

I like the clean slate feeling that the new year brings. Maybe I have been slacking in certain areas, and I became too lazy or too complacent to change them. The start of a new year reminds me that I can get back on track, that I can start again. If I want to, I can change.

And let's face it: New Years Eve is that perfect night to put on some glitz and wear a pretty party dress. No questions asked, cuz everyone else is covered in sequins and glitter too.

I always plan my outfit weeks in advance, although I don't always stick to the plan. Here's what I am (probably) going to wear Saturday night:

Black strapless lace dress from Express (last seen way back HERE)

Topped off with a black blazer

These shoes

This clutch

This makeup

And these nails

Jewelry is still undecided, but that's always the fun part for me. The not so fun part of my NYE story -  I'm battling a horrendous cold and I hope it goes away quickly!
 OOTD to come :)

Before I go, I want to wish my fiance a *Happy 30th Birthday*
I love you babe, you have always been the brightest part of my life! I can't wait to marry you!

See you next year everyone!

Summer makeup is unabashedly minimalistic. Throw on some bronzer and pink gloss and you're good to go. As easy as this is, by the end of Summer I'm tired of minimalism. I want glamour. What better way to pump up the volume than with dramatic Fall makeup.

Some looks to try:

Smoky shadow and lots of liner and mascara. Sexy and alluring - perfect for Fall.

A colorful eye and next to nothing cheeks and lips.

Defined cheeks. I love deep tawny's, mauves, and berries this time of year. It's difficult to put my pretty corals away, but Fall calls for something more dramatic.

And my personal favorite:

Dark red and wine lips. So pretty!

Do you wear a bit more makeup in the colder months? What are you dying to try this season?

This Fall, hair is looking soft, romantic, and effortless on the runway. Here are some of my favorite looks:

Gold is a classic metal. One that lights up the face and looks wonderful against a tan in Summertime. As a rule (albeit a loose one), I gravitate towards gold in the Spring and Summer, silver in the Fall/Winter. Of course it depends on my mood and my overall outfit for that day, but this is something I've done for years now.

It's no secret that I've been really into chunky, colorful statement jewelry (seen here, here, and my favorite here!)

I like to mix it up, and as of late I have my eyes on quite a few delicate silvery pieces instead. (I mean, how many variations of turquoise, coral, and lapis necklaces, rings, and bracelets can one have? Well many, actually! But that's beside the point.)

I already own these, which I love:

But I wouldn't mind having these pretties too:  I adore Sonya Renee.

Pearls are timeless and I love this necklace from the CurrentCustom

When it comes to Silver, Tiffany &Co. and that little blue box always comes to mind.

I fell in love with this bracelet on Veronika's blog. Pretty to wear alone or layer.

This personalized monogram pendant is very similar to the Jennifer Zuener necklaces seen on Hollywood actresses. The maker, elygoldart, can be found on Etsy.

It's no secret that mint colored everything is appearing everywhere! On clothes, nails, bags, shoes...it is the candy color of the moment. Paired with sandy neutrals, the look is reminiscient of the beach. Other than nail polish, I have yet to buy any mint clothing, but here are some goodies I would love to get my grabby little hands on this Summer:

Currently on my fingers and my personal fave
