Olivaceous dress here and here
Zara kitten heels, similar here (I have then in coral) and here

Lips: Lancome Lip Lover # 340 mixed with CoverGirl gloss in Plumlicious
Benefit blush  (one of my favorites)

This is the dress I was hoping would be great for a friend's upcoming wedding. However, the material is super flimsy and one false move and my lady bits will be on display. Not exactly appropriate for a wedding. Hell, not exactly appropriate anywhere! I'm very modest as you ladies may know, and I just can't imagine wearing this on its own. It's such a shame because it's beautiful! The soft layers flow around the body in a very feminine way. The color itself is extremely vibrant, and you know cobalt is my absolute favorite shade. I think I'll stick to wearing it like a tunic though, or perhaps over a bathing suit in the Summer by the pool. It's quite revealing, and I'm just not prepared to reveal. I don't regret buying it because it takes me out of my comfort zone. And, it was on sale :)

  1. So gorgeous! I love the drape of this tunic (too funny about the risk of the lady bits on display LOL!) I think it works beautifully as a tunic and will look great as a swimsuit cover-up - you can't go wrong with this beautiful color! Also - your lipstick is the perfect shade - glad you put the products you used in the description <3

    1. Thank you Zeba! I think this dress and color would look amazing on you! I suppose I could really try wearing it as a dress one day...maybe when it's the dead of Summer and there is absolutely no wind ;)

I highly am recommending the lip products to anyone and everyone I can! Not because I am paid to say that either ;) They truly are gorgeous.

  2. I lobe the material, color, and draping like you mentioned. I am always sucked in my a good sale! I think this color is so pretty on you and am pretty confident you could rock it sans jeans. That being said, I totally think you should do what you feel comfortable with, and I love it with the jeans! I have a similar tunic top that is too short for a dress, and I paired with with denim shorts last summer because I wasn't sure what else to do.

    1. Thank you Amy Ann. I do think I could probably wear it sans jeans as you mention, but I think I need to find the right event. Maybe a date night with my husband at a lounge-type place. Somewhere where I can just sit still LOL. It really is beautiful. I just wish the layers in front weren't so revealing and flimsy. But we shall see!

    1. Awww they would look GREAT with sandals! You are so right Rachelle. Thank you for the idea. I do see it as a cover-up on top of a bathing suit but I'm sure if I dressed it down with beaded sandals and a fun tote it would be perfect. I'll try it and when I do, I'll be sure to document it. I thought it was too short when I first tried it on but it's really not. It's just very thin material.

  4. I agree with Zeba about your lip color. I think it's my favorite that you wear (is it the same as what you were wearing in the face selfie on insta not long ago??) and I feel like it might work on me. Might have to check that out! I adore that dress and the color. Definitely use it as a swim cover up at the beach! I also agree with Rachelle that it just looks made for sandals. If you're wearing a swimsuit underneath it's okay if a little breeze comes by right? LOL.

    1. Yeah I didn't realize how thin the fabric is! In the picture online, the girl is wearing full in strappy heels so I thought it would be more of a party dress. Oh well! I do still really like it and I will definitely try it out with sandals. And yes, the lip products are the ones I wore on Instagram:)

  6. Bummer it didn't work out as a dress, but I'm happy you aren't giving up on it - the color is gorgeous! And I love your delicate necklace.
