In an effort to better connect with you ladies, I want to continue my blogging goal of sharing more personal things about myself. Not too terribly private, because that would change the course of Beautygirl24 and I wouldn't be comfortable with that. Shopping, style, and beauty products are as deep as I want to get! But it's also fun to share lesser known facts too. One of these is that I love supercross and motocross. I'm not an athletic girl, and I force myself three times per week to give up my reality shows on the couch in favor of the gym, a quick jog around our complex, or some stretches in our living room. I never played sports growing up, and my hubby and I don't get excited over football, basketball, any ball. No, we like the "extreme" stuff. If it involves surfing, a skateboard, or a bike, we like it. He likes the individual aspect of it, the thrill of speed (or broken bones and impending doom). I like the adrenaline rush, because I'm a big fat chicken and don't have the courage to do these things myself. I also don't mind the cute boys. Look up Ryan Dungey and Ken Roczen.

We are mostly alone in our love of dirt bikes. Our close friends have made it clear that they think we are crazy. Imagine my complete surprise when Gina shared that she also loves supercross. What?! You mean, I'm not alone? I was shocked to be honest, shocked in a good way. So we met up with her last Saturday and went to supercross together, to watch strapping young lads go around and around on a dirt track at Petco Park. We were as giddy as school girls, and I was pretty distracted because all I wanted to do was have a gabfest with her. I think we should make it annual Gina.

For the record, I liked her outfit better! It was more appropriate for the event. I should have worn boots too.

Now tell me a little fact about yourselves!

  1. Oh my gosh, I loved your outfit!! It was way nicer than mine. You were true to yourself, regardless of the event! Plus, it was always very easy to find our seats again since your striped coat stood out in the crowd! (In a good way!) I just needed to make sure I was comfortable for a lot of walking and sitting and standing. I am 100% all for making it an annual tradition! It was so fun to go with someone who would scream for Ken Roczen with me instead of looking at me like I'm insane. And next year we will hunt down Sycuan Casino or whatever place is hosting the best autograph signing session. I'm determined to get you some souvenir selfies with those strapping lads! (I updated my post today with a link to this but I'll mention it again on Friday. :) )

    1. Oh my goodness, you missy, looked great! I can't believe the boots are from target! They looked more expensive. I also loved meeting your sweet son, he's adorable :)

And I'm happy you also want to make it annual! Next year, we will have to stalk them for signings LOL

  2. This. Is. Awesome. I love knowing this fun thing about you, and how awesome that Gina loves it too. Now you all just have another thing to connect over. So fun! You both look way cute.

Also, I don't know if you even thought about it, but I need to apologize to you. I thought I tagged you in my 20beautifulwomen post, but somehow I didn't. I definitely think you are beautiful (inside and out), and I am so thankful for your blogging friendship and support. Just wanted to make sure you knew. :)

    1. Oh no apologies needed Amy Ann! I think your 20 picks were great and accurate! I love finding bloggers in the 30 something range. It's helpful for someone like myself who's still in denial about turning 30 last year ;) but thank you so much for thinking of me and letting me know. I appreciate it!

  4. That's awesome! I love speed as well - I think that I would have so much fun racing cars! I'm a bit scared of two wheels because I don't trust my balance that much, but my fiancé and I definitely have tons of fun go-karting :)

  5. I don't know anything about motocross, but if it involves cute boys and bikes I will probably love it! Both of your outfits are exactly what I expected from you two.
