Wearing //
Plaid coat (old) but similar

This coat was first seen on the blog way back in 2010, which is honestly the last time I pulled it out of my closet. I wore the heck out of it until some of the buttons fell off. Then I went to my tailor a few weeks ago when I got my trench coat hemmed, and now it's like wearing a brand new coat! I love the ruffles offset by the dark grey plaid. It's so incredibly soft and cozy, it's darn near like wearing a blanket. I came home to some chilly California weather after my Oahu trip. I was saddened at first because I missed the warm beach, but now I'm fully embracing it. When else do I get to pull out a plush coat? It's December after all, so I'm going to get in as much outerwear time as I possibly can. Happy Monday friends!

  1. Love it! Great idea to take it to the tailor for a new feel. It looks great paired with your red heels.

  3. The plaid coat is adorable, and I can completely relate to not wearing something because it needs a little repair. Glad it's back in action!

  4. Thank you Tiffany and Lydia! A little repair goes a long way! I need to re-learn how to sew. My mom taught me when I very little but I've since forgotten!

  5. Love this outfit, love this coat and I keep waiting for them to restock those shoes in that color in my size! I don't think it's going to happen, but they are the perfect complement to this look. I bet that coat would be great for an outdoor winter sporting event, like....Supercross. :P Thanks so much for a great time last night!
