These "current favorites" posts are always the most enjoyable for me to write. I'm constantly obsessing over certain things, and I love sharing them with you. This month has so far been all about sticking to my resolutions and getting back on track after a lazy December, but I'm also still loving decor and, of course, jewelry!

New mirror, purchased from HomeGoods with a gift card from Christmas. I love the bronze/brown tile frame. Our living room wall is quite large, and this is the perfect piece to fill it.

The crystal sconce is also a HomeGoods find. It hangs next to our kitchen. The swirl design is a lovely accent to our neutral palette. Lately, my mom has been bringing me fresh flowers from her garden, and I love decorating with them to add more color and vibrancy to our little space.

This tray from Target sits on the ledge between the kitchen and living room, and it's great for candles, pictures, and other pretty treasures I want to display. The great thing about having a large decorative tray is that you can switch out the decor frequently to add a different look. Before the wedding picture, I had a glittery tree for Christmas.

While browsing Instagram the other night, I came across this jewelry line found on Etsy: Amarilo specializes in dainty, handmade pieces. I especially love her rings! I want to order this lovely oversized heart.

Lastly, I stumbled upon this quote and it's my style resolution for the year:

It's so easy to get caught up in the trends these days. One of the most unsatisfying feelings is having a closet full of clothes, but nothing to wear. How many boyfriends and husbands have heard us say that?! I think I do pretty well to make sure I don't buy impulsively, but once in awhile, it happens. I'd like to curtail this altogether, and simply focus on buying pieces I know I will love and wear to death. Even if something costs a bit more than I'd like to spend, as long as it's classic and well made, I think it'll be worth it in the long-run.

What are you loving this month? Have you made any style resolutions for the year?

Happy Weekend!

  1. Love the Target tray & how you can switch out the decor easily!

I totally agree with your choosing wisely resolution. I feel like I follow that when it comes to my bags - I spend more - but each purchase comes after a lot of thought...and I truly enjoy and get so much use out of them. I'm glad I made the decision to stop buying multiples of "trendy" bags and build up a timeless collection instead!

I haven't yet applied that idea to the rest of my wardrobe though LOL! I have a tendency to pick up scarves and necklaces at an alarming rate...I don't know if that's a good thing because it's a quick way to dress up an outfit, or a bad thing - because I might have too much!

    1. I'm the same way Ella! I control myself very well with shoes, bags, and clothes but when it comes to accessories like jewelry...I'm terrible! I want it all! That's definitely one thing I really need to curtail. Thank you for your feedback :)

  3. I looove that crystal wall sconce...I really ought to try harder with home decor, but it comes out of the same budget as clothing for me, so you can guess which one wins out. :/ But I like your resolution...especially after a closet clean out for the new year it's like "Why did I need all of this?" I definitely need to be more picky this year!!

    1. I often struggle with that too! I usually buy clothes over home decor, but I've been so inspired by lifestyle blogs lately that I'm really enjoying decorating!

  4. There's a 10 item challenge floating around the internet right now that directly relates to your "Choosing Wisely" quote. Limit yourself to purchasing only 10 pieces of clothing between Jan 1 and July 31.
I've already added and deleted a million things from my virtual shopping cart. It's really made me question what I need vs. what I want.

  7. Love all of these little details!
I agree about impulse buying and trend bandwagons! I've tried to curb my shopping this year (all of two weeks- haha) but it's liberating. A little sad, but mostly liberating!
