MAC's Volcanic Ash Exfoliator! It has been sold out everywhere, along with the Thermal Mask. But I found one at Macy's and it was actually the last one left! I'm so happy with this stroke of luck. I have yet to try it out, but I plan on doing so very soon. I hate buying into all the MAC limited edition hype, but sometimes I have to give in. I think this was a wise choice. I'm still working on my project back-to-MAC so I have yet to buy any makeup because I really want to use and enjoy the products I own right now. I just figured that the VAE was a skincare purchase...which doesn't count as makeup, right?! Ha, the ways I justify my shopping habit!

Has anyone tried this? Comments appreciated!

If your like me and have been an incessant/GUILTY viewer of "Laguna Beach" and "The Hills", you probably can't help but admire Lauren Conrad's style. I love how she puts herself together, and I feel like the girls on that show are responsible for many of the trends that we see...the famous Lauren hair braids immediately come to mind! Now that Lauren has left the show, she will most likely have more time to focus on her new affordable clothing line for women at Kohl's department store. You can check out her line at: http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/ourbrands/lclaurenconrad.jsp

I really am thinking about buying this dress:

I think I would pair it with flats and a cardigan for school... Heels and a clutch for night.

As always, thanks for stopping by! Happy Friday!

I always love watching monthly favorites on Youtube...so why not blog about my own? I think I will do a posting on these every month from now on! So here they are for this month:

~ Korres shower gel in Lemon Basil. I got a tiny bottle of this when i placed a Korres order. I wish I had the full size! Unfortunately, a regular bottle is $20 dollars. A little steep for body wash! So after my little sample is gone, I will shed a small tear and then get over it ;)

~ MAC eyeshadows in Era and All That Glitters...THE perfect every day eye-combo. They both have peachy undertones that cast a soft glow around the eyes. I wear Era in the crease and All That Glitters all over the lid. Easy and fast for school.

~ Essence of Beauty Smokey Wide brush. How did I ever live without this brush in my collection? It is so soft and I love that it is multi-purpose. I especially like using the larger side of this double ended brush to apply an all-over color to my lids.

~ Sephora by O.P.I. nail polishes. My absolute favorite formula! And the narrow brush makes application so much easier. I currently have three polishes, but I plan on buying more!

~ My CherryCulture purchases which include a NYX blush in Angel and a NYX compact bronzer in "Daydream of Lanai." The bronzer actually reminds me of my HG Korres bronzer - very similar color! And the blush is the ultimate baby pink ;)

~ Drew Barrymore at the Emmys this past weekend. 3 Words: Oh. My. God. Amazing!

What are your favorites for September?

This is a RAVE of the O.P.I. Rapid-Dry Spray for nails. It is essentially a nail polish dryer that is applied onto the nails "45 seconds after the final coat of nail polish." I mist on quite a bit, even probably over-doing it! I'm sure that a single spray on each nail would work perfectly fine, but I tend to do two or even three sprays. This stuff is amazing though. I polish my nails frequently because I don't like the look of chipped polish, and also because I tire of one color very easily. It used to be such a hassle, and even a little time consuming. But I found this product at my local Trade Secret a few months ago, and I cannot be without it! My nails are completely dry after two or three minutes. I am still careful to make sure I don't bump them on anything for a few minutes afterwards, but I think that is mainly due to years of nicking manicures because the polish was still tacky. I must also mention that the smell of this is wonderful! It has a floral scent that I just love. The only downside I find with it is the price. I paid $10.95 for a 2 Fl.Oz. bottle at Trade Secret. However, I was in another beauty supply store just last week and found the same bottle was $8.95 there. I will be repurchasing very soon because I am almost out but I will go back to the store with the cheaper price tag. I highly recommend this product for all the nail polish addicts out there!

This is such a sweet award! It was given to me by Crystal from http://www.lipglossgossip.com/. As always, thank you! I am supposed to give ten facts about myself and then tag ten blogs. so here it goes:

1) My mother is mexican(from Guadalajara) and my father is english, german, and irish. People ask me frequently "what nationality" I am. I used to get a little bothered by that question, but not anymore.

2) I usually sleep with the t.v. on. Since it doesn't have a timer on it, I wake up at 4 in the morning with infomercials blaring!

3) When I was a kid, I was very into singing and dancing. I belonged to a youth group that performed plays, and my friends and I would put on shows for our parents on a weekly basis.

4) I am very particular on how I do my laundry. Therefore, no one touches my clothes besides me!

5) I have a fear of public speaking. In fact, I have to do a presentation in one of my classes next week, and I am terrified!

6) I love animals, especially dogs. Every dog I have ever owned has been a rescue dog. If I had the means, I would fund a no-kill animal shelter. I just have so much sympathy for animals. They are truly innocents.

7) I cannot stand bad drivers!!!! I definitely have that California road rage.

8) Old shows like "I Love Lucy" are my favorite! Sometimes I wish I had lived in a different time.

9) I am an only child, no brothers or sisters ;( I wish I had siblings though! Someone to fight with...or shop with ;)

10) I am head over heels in love with my boyfriend. We plan on marrying in the future, after I graduate college <3

Another fact: I do not always follow directions! I am supposed to tag ten other blogs, but I want to tag anyone/everyone who wants to share a little more about themselves.

These are gifts from my boyfriend, best friend, and mom :) I love the Philosophy "Unconditional Love" perfume from my boyfriend. It smells like sweet candy, but is still very light. The Sephora bag contained a gift card with a pretty nice amount in it! I can't wait to use it.

On closer examination, this little heart necklace was a present from my friend Katie. I wore it on my birthday and received sweet compliments.

I also got two things from CherryCulture.com: A NYX blush in the infamous "Angel" and a NYX Bronzer Compact in "Daydream of Lanai." Nothing but pure love with these!

I was just browsing Temptalia.com and practically screamed when I found out that 3 cremesheen glasses are being repromoted for their holiday collection! I HAVE to get my hands on Ever So Rich and Boy Bait. I have been looking high and low for these, but they were the most popular ones and very hard to come by! You all know I have a love affair with my Fashion Scoop...unfortunately, that one will not be repromoted. But that's alright, I still have two back-ups ;)

I have reached 20 followers! Actually, i'd like to refer to them as "readers" instead ;) i am so grateful to all of you. Blogging has become my favorite pastime, and you girls all make my day. So thanks again!

Last week, I started my last year of college, woo-hoo! Finally! I cannot wait to be a college graduate and obtain my bachelor's degree after years of studying, writing, and stressing! The only problem with this semester is that I have a four hour gap in between classes. Ugh! Instead of doing something productive with that time, I undoubtedly wind up going shopping off-campus. Not good! But I did manage to go to the Nordstrom Rack a couple exits down the freeway from school, and I am so happy that I did. I found the coolest pair of Michael Kors platforms! They are black patent leather, with cork high heels. The heels are so high, but they are actually very comfortable because of the platform feature. This is my first pair of "designer" shoes and I am addicted! They were originally 150 dollars, reduced to 82 dollars, then reduced again to 54. What a steal! I am planning on wearing these tomorrow night when my boyfriend takes me out for my bday :)

It's hard to tell, but they say "Micheal Kors" on the back of each heel

P.S. Does anyone have an addiction to fashion t.v.? I love Rachel Zoe on Monday nights on Bravo, Project Runway on Thursdays on Lifetime(tonight!) and What Not to Wear Friday nights on TLC.

As always, thank you for stopping by!

My last trip to Sephora resulted in only one measly purchase: Sephora by O.P.I. in "Underneath my Trench Coat." Even the sales girl commented on how pretty this nail shade will be for Fall. It is different from any other color I own, which is why I had to get it. It's a taupey-brown with light gold shimmer. It has such a soft, pretty sheen. It has definitely put me in the mood for Fall! I also want to rave about the Sephora by O.P.I. polishes. The brush is so narrow, making application a breeze. And the formula is so creamy and smooth. I want to buy a bottle in as many colors as possible!

I appreciate your comments!

I have recently been experimenting with false eyelashes, and I must say that the old cliche of "practice makes perfect" is really true. I clumsily applied my first set a few months ago, when girls on YouTube were inspiring me to give them a try. Well, I failed miserably my first time around! I applied them way too high on my eyelids and looked like a total mess! Frustrated, I had my best friend apply a set for me one afternoon while we were getting ready for her 24th birthday party. When I looked into the mirror after she had finished, I was taken aback by how my eyes stood out. I was not blessed with long, full lashes. No, mine are short and rather sparse. I always curl the heck out of them though, and use many coats of black mascara so often I am satisfied with the way they look. But there is nothing like a nice set of falsies ;) And I am actually getting better and better at applying them! I'm no expert, and I only wear them on special occasions but I am very pleased at my recent progress. If anyone knows of any special tricks or techniques that makes the process even easier, please share them with me...For now, I'll keep practicing!

~My best friend and I on her bday, first time wearing false lashes~

~Now I can apply them by myself...sort of~

Am I the only one who has had issues with this? Hmmmmm...Happy Friday!

I have been wanting to review this for quite awhile now, but I wanted to use it for a long period of time so I could really test it out. Before I give my pros, cons, and my final verdict, I want to ask you for any recommendations you may have about a good eye cream. I just received my Korres package(FINALLY!) in the mail yesterday, and it came with a small vial of the Primrose eye cream, so I will be testing that out as well. Recently, I have been getting horrible bags under my eyes, especially underneath my right eye. I am not sure if it's from lack of sleep or stress, but I notice it in pictures a lot lately, and it drives me insane! I never used to have puffy eyes, and now I can't seem to get rid of them! Hence, why i decided to try the Garnier Anti-Puff Eye Roller. I picked it up at CVS about four months ago for around ten dollars. I am not sure what the price of it is now, but I think it varies depending on what store you go to and what area you live in. I was hoping it would get rid of my bags...Here are my thoughts:

~Pros: The applicator is a little roller-ball, and it feels nice and soothing when applied under the eye area.
The actual product is very cooling. It feels nice on a long, hot day.
The packaging sort of sucked me in. I love the sleekness of it. It does not take up much space in my vanity.

~Cons: This does absolutely nothing for my bags. Yes, the cooling gel feels nice, but it does not diminish the look of bags under the eye area. I used this religiously every morning and every night, and after three months I still saw no results. I have quit using this almost entirely, except on really hot days when I want a cooling sensation on my face.

Verdict: You are better off using tea bags, cucumber slices, or a frozen bag of peas to help with eye puffiness! I will continue looking for a good eye product, because the Garnier Anti-Puff Eye Roller isn't it!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

I went to the mall with my mom last week and I wanted to share what I bought. It was all jewelry from Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe. The best part of finding these small treasures is how inexpensive they are, yet still very trendy and fashion forward. All items were under $8.00

These earrings will dress up any oufit. They catch the light beautifully.

I practically jumped for joy at the sight of this imitation Tiffany's Keys necklace. The keys are so delicate and look great against a basic top.

I actually bought these bangles from H&M. I fell in love with the aqua color.

I see little flower earrings like these everywhere! I gave in and finally bought my own pair ;) I'm sure I will wear these to class a lot.

I just love this necklace with the large flower on the side. It looks so elegant draped around the neck

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day!
